I have stumbled upon this quaint gathering of minds in an effort to not only find more to play, but perhaps I will find inspiration in any unlikely place.
I would like to tell a little bit about myself in hopes that we something in common, although a respectful debate is just as good. So I suppose the first thing about me, is that I thrive on a combination of social aspects, creativity, reactions, relationships, and even a bit of being the 'devil's advocate' [yes, unpopular I know...]. I enjoy a wide variety of different roles from fantasy, science fiction, myth/lore, survival horror, family/friendships, fanfics based on movies, animes, books and other stories. Admittedly, I have come to try RPG for primarily original survival horror and science fiction roles. I would like to say that while I am not opposed to sexually explicit/adult content roles, I read the rules concerning them and most likely this will not be the place for that. I obviously like to write in my spare time, but besides that, I play the bass and recently quit playing piano and trombone. I have graduated from college with a business degree although my real passion is for teaching. I also recently quit smoking/drinking/doing drugs etc, I won't go into details, suffice it to say I have time to fill now. I can't really say when I started roleplaying... it would be like asking when I started to play pretend as a child. Typically I am not a GM/Mod but I've always believed that one of my strengths is listening to what others have to say, so if I get the chance to lead I take plenty of input from all parties involved. I have reviewed a couple of the newbie threads concerning the rules, PM's and introduction.
Uhm, really I don't know any of you and barely have any friends as it is (probably due to my crippling shyness), but who's to say that will remain? Friends are great, and I don't bite unless you ask really nicely. *grin*
